UPDATE: Wake Forest *after* the Snow!

The Wake Forest Farmers Market has been move to Sunday 1/12 from 1-3PM due to the snowy/icy roads. We hope you can join us there! The oyster mushrooms are coming along nicely in the tents though … as shown, these are 3 UPDATE: Wake Forest *after* the Snow!

Blewit Season!

What started as a failed attempt to cultivate King Stropharia accidentally became, a couple years later, the perfect environment to attract wild Wood Blewits! * * Sorry, we can’t sell these since they are technically “wild” (not intentionally cultivated) and this species is not approved for sale in NC under my wild mushroom food safety Blewit Season!

Nature, the Ultimate Grower

I can safely say that in 4 years of growing oyster mushrooms, I have never achieved an individual cap of this gargantuan size! The frilly one on the bottom was about the size of my size 11 boot. Come check us out at the Pittsboro Farmer’s Market this Thursday 12/9 for some indoor-cultivated oyster mushrooms Nature, the Ultimate Grower

Thanksgiving and Beyond!

Big week! We have TWO markets on Wednesday 11/27, the day before Thanksgiving: the Chatham Mills Farmers Market from Noon to 3pm and the Pittsboro Farmers Market from 3-6pm. (Please note that these two markets won’t be open on Thursday and Saturday this week.) Then on Saturday 11/30, we’ll be back at the Wake Forest Thanksgiving and Beyond!
